Monday the 27th

Hey guys! Hope your doing good! Today was Dominican Independence day!! So because it was a holiday school was out this gave us the perfect moment to paint the playground, Guys it looks so cool!!!!! We did an amazing job...if I do say so myself.We're just about done, we have a few more things to touch up but that's it then we're done!! That took up most of our day but for dinner we went out to a cute little restaurant and ate a delicious Dominican meal called Mufonga. This is a mash of Plantains, chicken, pork, and lots of cheese, It was amazing! Keep us in our prayers!!

Sunday the 26th

Good evening guys! Its really late and I'm really tired so this is going to be really short. So today we had church in the morning. My dad gave a great sermon on starting a revolution in the church. After we had lunch we went to Presa de Hatillo and took in the amazing view! For dinner we went to Pizza Hut!!That was our day! Keep us in your prayers!!

Young People Growing in the Word Event!!!

Hey guys ! So here's day 4! Today was pretty busy. Today was the day of the Youth event! We had lots of fun serving food and desserts, listening to sermons and worshipping our Lord. It was really crazy, we had...are you ready for this??? We had  200 people!! Yes you read that right 200 people came to our event! God is good!!We also went on a walk to the park. That was really fun, but it was very different then walking to the park back home. Keep us in your prayer please!!!

Domnican Trip 2017: First few days!!

Hey guys! So since I haven't posted for last few days I'm going to post the pictures I've taken since we've arrived so you all  can see what's been going on! I'll make sure to explain what's going on in each of the pictures. Alrighty, so from now on I will TRY to post every day just to give you all an update. I've never done a blog before so don't expect to much from me, just a quick update on what were doing. Mattea and I help with "school" in the morning. It's not officially a school yet but we're on our way to making it official. We help with the kindergarteners! We make sure they get to the bathroom and back, make sure they get some breakfast, and then I help with their notebook and check it for corrections. I also write there next assignment out. So far Jeremy, Nate, Dan, and I have been building a playground for the kids. This is a step we must take to make the Church an official school (by the governments standards ). My dad, Stacy, has been  working on sermons for a youth event tomorrow and a sermon for  Sunday (I'll get pictures for you!). Please keep us in your prayers and I'll post  more pictures tomorrow.

Villa Progresso

Our team had the honor of spending a day at Iglesia Bautista Central's sister church in Villa Progresso.  We spent the morning doing Vacation Bible School for the children of the village and later in the day we shared in a worship service with one another... the music was loud, the kids and adults were filled with joy, Shelly gave her testimony and Matthew preached.  It was an amazing day of sharing the gospel with God's precious children.

Later in the day we returned to Villa Progresso and walked throughout the neighborhood inviting families to an evening worship service.  Shelly shared her testimony of when she came to Christ and Matthew preached a sermon on the story of Jonah.
