Ready. Set. Go.

Suitcases are being packed and passports are being dusted off for our group of twelve from Grace Baptist Church in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  In less than 24 hours we will board a plane in Fargo and begin our journey to Santiago,  Dominican Republic, to serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ at Primera Iglecia Bautista de Central de Santiago.

We are a group of varying ages and stages in life.  Some of us are veterans doing short-term mission work and for others this will be their first mission trip.  We are all eager to see what God has planned for us in the days to come.

Our schedule will include a day trip to Bonne Terre Ministry in Haiti and a visit to Nueva Esperanza in La Vega, Dominican Republic.  We will spend several days breaking up concrete and building a second story onto the existing school structure at Primera Iglecia.

Some of us will be more nervous than excited and some of us will be more excited than nervous.  We ask that you pray for our travel preparations, and pray for God to calm our hearts and minds as we begin this trip to the Dominican Republic.

Travel along with us through this blog.  God-willing these stories and images will touch your heart and you will prayerfully consider joining a future mission team to see first hand the work that God is doing in the Dominican Republic.

To God be all the glory.

Children of the barrio play and work alongside the mission team that traveled to Santiago last June.
